Coia

Vigo’s largest urban area

Coia is one of the most representative areas of urban Vigo, a huge neighbourhood that began to grow in the 60s, when it became a densely populated residential area. It is currently divided by the long, tree-lined Avenida de Castelao and is a neighbourhood with its own personality, since until recent centuries, it did not even belong to the city. Coia is a neighbourhood with its own personality, right next to As Travesas and the spectacular sculpture Puerta del Atlántico, where the triumphs of the Real Club Celta are celebrated.

Tips and recommendations:

Are you going to spend New Year's Eve in Vigo? We suggest a unique event: the outdoor party in Praza de America square, with the Santa Irene clock chiming away the year and live music until early morning.
