By boat

Getting to Vigo by boat is a unique experience; so if you like sailing, it’s something you shouldn’t miss! Vigo has four marinas where you can dock, sail along the Vigo Estuary and spend the day sightseeing. They are all located near some of the best hotels in town, in case you don’t feel like sleeping in the boat for a night or two.

When you step on land, don’t be surprised if you’re surrounded by hundreds of tourists. The Port of Vigo’s cruise pier welcomes thousands of visitors from more than 100 transatlantic cruise ships. The MSC Meraviglia, the Harmony  of the Seas or the Queen Elisabeth are some of the cruise ships stopping in Vigo on their voyages.

If you didn’t come by boat, but you don’t want to miss the experience of sailing along the spectacular Vigo Estuary, our section Sailing in the Ria de Vigo explains all you need to know regarding routes, renting boats and regular public transport.
