OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCES IN THE RIA DE VIGO: DOLPHIN WATCHING
Martes, 8 Septiembre 2015
Bottlenose dolphins are a type of dolphin that loves to swim the Galician coastline. Although their appearances are rather random and infrequent, one of the greatest sights you can enjoy in the waters of the Rías Baixas is that of a group or pod of dolphins as it approaches very close to the coast, particularly in summer, when they are looking for sardines or giving birth to their young in the quiet waters of the Ría de Vigo.
If you are sitting at one of the pavement cafés with sea views in the city, or on the deck of the ferryboats that run back and forth between the city and the fishing villages or Cangas or Moaña or to the Cies Islands, then don't take you eyes off the sea because you might catch a sight of these friendly cetaceans surfing and playing among the waves of the Ría.
