VIGO IN YOUR BACKPACK
Mercredi, 10 juin 2015
If you’re coming to spend some days in the Rías Baixas and you want to visit the most emblematic places, we recommend basing yourself in Vigo because it’s so charming and well-connected to everywhere else. There’s so much to do and there are ‘low cost’ plans, which means you’ll need several days to get to know the city. As Galicia’s largest city, Vigo has a range of accommodation to suit all budgets. If you’re looking for somewhere inexpensive to sleep, the city offers hostels, boarding houses and campsites.
You don’t have to plan your trip down to the last detail; Vigo will surprise you! It brings together the peace and nature of the countryside with the comfort and amenities of the city. That means you can combine a hiking or biking route or a trip to the Atlantic Islands National Park of Galicia with a visit to some of the museums or a self-guided tour.
Vigo offers you a lot for a little! For example, you can visit all the city’s museums for under €10, and for €7.50 you can use the tourist bus to get to all the main points of interest. And, of course, if there’s one thing we can really boast about in Galicia, it’s our good value, quality food. To make your trip complete, and to have a real culinary experience, don’t miss the chance to eat at a furancho or go to a gastronomic festival. An ocean of unique flavours!
